Intel will kick off CES 2025 with a keynote early next week, focusing on strengthening its product portfolio rather than making groundbreaking launches. One of the most notable products is the Arc Battlemage series’ Arc B570 graphics card, which is expected to launch for $219. Intel will also likely reiterate the success of the Arc B580, which received positive reviews earlier.
On the CPU front, Intel is likely to expand its desktop and laptop lineup. High-performance Arrow Lake-H and -HX chips for laptops could be announced, promising more cores, faster speeds, and better gaming capabilities. While there won’t be many big announcements, this seems like a logical move given Intel’s internal turmoil, including the recent surprise departure of its CEO.
AMD will follow Intel with a keynote and is expected to bring a series of interesting products. The main highlight will likely be the RDNA 4 graphics card line, with the first product being the RX 9070 XT. According to sources, the RX 9070 XT's performance will be somewhere between the RTX 4070 Ti and RTX 4080, and the price could range from $600 to $650. This is a strategy to focus on the mid-range and high-end segments, rather than competing directly in the flagship segment.
Additionally, AMD may introduce FSR 4 (FidelityFX Super Resolution) image enhancement technology, which relies on AI hardware to improve image quality, similar to Nvidia's DLSS technology.
AMD's CPU division is no less exciting with the possibility of launching new 3D V-Cache CPU models such as Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D, expanding the Zen 5 product line. In addition, Ryzen Z2 chips for handheld devices can also be mentioned.
Nvidia will close out the first day of CES 2025 with an evening event, and all eyes will be on the RTX 50-series GPUs. Products likely to appear include the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090, with the RTX 5080 expected to launch as early as January.
While pricing remains a mystery, multiple sources suggest the RTX 5090 could cost over $2,000, focusing on the prosumer segment with AI applications.
In addition, Nvidia may introduce RTX 50-series GPUs for laptops and new-generation DLSS technology, bringing outstanding improvements in enhancing performance and image quality for gamers.
