The Bao Son Award 2024 aims to honor outstanding research works with highapplicability, making outstanding contributions to the sustainable development of the country. According to information from the Organizing Committee, the fields considered for awards include: Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities; Technology, Engineering; Health Sciences; Literature, Arts.
Speaking at the ceremony, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung - emphasized that the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation is becoming a decisive factor for the sustainable development of countries and peoples.
"Resolution 57 affirms: Science, technology, innovation and digital transformation are a major driving force for socio-economic development, a pillar for Vietnam to rise to become a developed country with high income.
To realize that aspiration, we need a strong innovation ecosystem, an advanced science and technology foundation, associated with practice; businesses and the need for sustainable development of the country. Therefore, we need to honor, encourage and replicate typical works such as the scientific works honored at today's Bao Son Award 2024" - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung commented.
At the ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister also called on the scientific community, business community, entrepreneurs... at home and abroad to continue to arouse the desire to contribute and innovate for a rapid, sustainable, self-reliant, prosperous and happy Vietnam.
Mr. Nguyen Truong Son - Chairman of Bao Son Group - emphasized: "The Bao Son award for 4 scientific works this year will encourage scientists, technology and inventors to maximize their intellectual talents. Thereby, contributing to the country, contributing to the era of the Vietnamese people's rise".
Chairman of Bao Son Group also informed and thoroughly grasped the guidance thought of the Party and State leaders, considered the development of science and technology, innovation innovation as the only way to bring the country to develop and improve the life, the Bao Son Award will continue to be maintained and developed in the following years.
Bao Son 2024 Award has been awarded: Research and production of African swine cholera vaccine - AVAC ASF Live (in the field of livestock protection and environment); Laparoscopic surgery in the treatment of thyroid disease (health science field); Advanced three -phase composite materials in technical (technical field); Ethnic policy history works of Vietnamese communists (fields of social sciences and humanities).
At the ceremony, the winning scientific works were awarded 3.1 billion VND/tournament (equivalent to 120,000 USD) by the Bao Son Education and Training Support Fund.
The Bao Son National Award is organized by Bao Son Education and Training Fund of Bao Son Group in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training to honor authors/groups of authors who own inventions and applied scientific research works with outstanding results, and have a positive impact on the development of Vietnam's economy - society, culture and people.
