On May 9, 2025, the Director of Hanoi National University signed Decision No. 2316/QD-DHQGHN on recognizing Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Son, Vice Principal of the University of Natural Sciences for the 2020-2025 term, holds the position of Principal of the University of Natural Sciences for the 2025-2030 term.
Previously, on May 5, 2025, Hanoi National University issued Decision No. 2179/QD-DHQGHN on recognizing Prof. Dr. Vu Hoang Linh, Party Secretary, Principal of the University of Natural Sciences for the 2020-2025 term, holds the position of Chairman of the Council of the University of Natural Sciences for the 2023-2028 term.
According to the decisions, Prof.Dr. Vu Hoang Linh stopped the position of Principal to perform the duties and tasks of the Chairman of the University Council of Natural Sciences for the term 2023-2028 from 8.5.2025. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Son held the position of Rector of the University of Natural Sciences for the term 2025-2030 from September 9, 2025.
Prof. Dr. Vu Hoang Linh is a former student majoring in Mathematics at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. He completed his PhD in Applied Mathematics at Budapest University, Hungary in 1998. He was recognized by the State Council of Professorship as Associate Professor in 2007, recognized and appointed to the title of Professor in 2022.
Before taking on the role of the chairman of the school council, Prof. Dr. Science. Vu Hoang Linh used to hold the positions of Head of Mathematics - Mathematics - Informatics, Vice Principal and Principal of the school. He is also the president of the Vietnam Maths Association for the term 2023-2028.
Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Son is a former student of the Faculty of Chemistry, Hanoi University of Science and Technology. He successfully defended his doctoral thesis in Chemistry at Ehime University, Japan in 1999. He was appointed as Associate Professor in 2007, recognized and appointed as Professor in 2019.
He has held the positions of Lecturer, Deputy Head of the Department and Head of the Department of Chemistry. Since 2020, he has held the position of Vice Principal of the University of Natural Sciences.
