Support from technology to digital transformation
Mr. Tran Trung Chanh (31 years old, residing in Trieu Do commune, Trieu Phong district) is the representative of QT - TECH Technology Development Company Limited, specializing in herring spraying. Graduated in Journalism but passionate about production, in 2021 he was destined to start a business when the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Tri province transferred him the technique of growing this medicinal herb.

Not only stopping at technology transfer, the Department's staff also directly instructed him on techniques and farming processes. The product is tested for quality, but the journey to bring the product to consumers is not easy. From packaging, labeling design, ensuring food safety, everything needed proper support, and he was accompanied by the Department.
In mid-May 2025, he attended an AI - ChatGPT training course organized by the Department for businesses and cooperatives in the province. In just one day, he grasped the basic knowledge and skills to use AI in content creation, sales, and customer care.
"If it took me a few days to create a product introduction video before, it only took me a few hours to complete the script to the finished product" - Mr. Chanh said.

Not only Mr. Chanh's case, other businesses in the area also have access to technology. Most recently, on May 17, Gold Herbal Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company inaugurated the first factory in Quang Tri to meet GMP standards. This achievement is largely contributed by the technological support of the Department of Science and Technology.
Joining hands to point
On April 11, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province launched the "Digital education program" movement to disseminate knowledge and technological skills to the entire population, responding to the call of General Secretary To Lam.
Mr. Tran Ngoc Lan - Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Tri province said that in the context of the digital age, popularizing digital skills for people is an important task. The "Digital education movement" is the bridge that helps all classes of people access digital technology and apply digital skills to life and work.

In fact, the Department has organized training courses on AI and ChatGPT application for cadres, union members, and businesses. From here, the replication to the community is planned systematically. On May 23, the provincial Department of Science and Technology issued a plan for "Saturday of Community Digital Transformation" to organize guided sessions at the facility.
The following weekend, a group of staff from the Center for Technology Transfer Research and Innovation under the Department of Science and Technology arrived in Hai Thai commune (Gio Linh district) to train more than 60 people right at the commune hall. Here, people are instructed on how to use online public services, practice changing driving licenses, update ID information... right on their smartphones. At the same time, people are also learning how to use business apps, protect personal information, and avoid online scams.
We are bringing digital transformation to the village and hamlet by promoting propaganda, organizing classes, mobilizing society to participate and especially enhancing digital skills training for people Mr. Tran Ngoc Lan emphasized.
