According to the roadmap specified in Circular 08/2026/TT-BKHCN of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the revocation of subscriber numbers can only be carried out from August 20 for cases that have not yet completed the confirmation or authentication according to regulations.
This means that users still have time to complete the necessary procedures and avoid losing the right to use the phone number.
Proactively inspect and complete procedures
If the subscriber has been two-way locked, users should first check the subscriber status through the application of the telecommunications enterprise or contact the customer care switchboard.
In case the system still requests confirmation or verification of information, users need to follow the instructions on the application or go to the network operator's transaction point for support.
For cases where it is not possible to perform online, such as subscriber information not matching the national population database, changing personal papers or generating incorrect information, users should go directly to the transaction point for inspection and processing.
Completing procedures before August 20 will help subscribers continue to be maintained according to regulations.
Do not wait until the deadline.
According to telecommunications businesses, users should proactively handle it immediately when they detect that the subscriber has been two-way locked instead of waiting until the last days.
In particular, people who use multiple phone numbers or still have sub-SIMs should also review them all to avoid omissions.
If they continue not to complete the confirmation or authentication before August 20, the subscriber number will be revoked according to the prescribed handling roadmap.
Therefore, users should check their subscriber status immediately after the two-way service is suspended to have enough time to handle arising problems, avoiding affecting communication as well as services that are using phone numbers to log in or authenticate accounts.
