According to Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong, the information technology (IT) and digital technology (CNS) industry is one of the largest economic and technical industries today. In 2023, IT industry revenue is estimated to reach 138.5 billion USD (up 23% compared to 2019 and 128% in 2015); The number of active IT and CNS enterprises is estimated at 45,500 units, with a workforce of 1.45 million people.
Assessing the cooperation between Binh Dinh and FPT as "in the right direction, in accordance with the Party and State's policy on focusing on developing high-quality human resources", Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong committed: "Ministry of Information and Communications will accompany and support Binh Dinh and technology businesses to develop priority areas of semiconductors, AI, and cyber security. We expect that, with the support of FPT, Binh Dinh will transform strongly and soon become one of the CNS centers of the country."
Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan considered AI, semiconductors, cybersecurity and technology human resources to be the "first open door" to ensure success. FPT Chairman of the Board of Directors Truong Gia Binh shared: "I believe Binh Dinh will quickly become the region's AI, semiconductor, and cybersecurity center. To do this, the root is education and training. FPT will cooperate with Binh Dinh to develop human resources, while attracting leading AI experts in Vietnam and the world to the martial arts land."
At the conference, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, FPT Group and the Private Economic Development Research Board under the Prime Minister's Administrative Procedure Reform Advisory Council signed a cooperation agreement to develop the retail industry. guide, AI and cybersecurity in Binh Dinh for the period 2025-2030.
