In the bustling atmosphere of April, at a coffee shop on Tran Van Du street (Tan Binh ward), instead of everyday gossip, the image of young officials patiently and enthusiastically guiding people to operate phones has become familiar. That is the "Coffee - Digital Transformation" model just implemented by Tan Binh ward, a practical solution to bring technology deep into life.
Friendly digital experience space
This model completely eliminates the distance between officials and people. Here, the rigid desk space is replaced by open coffee tables. With the motto "understand on the spot - do it right away", people can both enjoy free coffee and receive "hand-holding guidance" from the most basic steps such as creating public service accounts, installing level 2 VNeID to performing complex online administrative procedures. This change has received great consensus and response from the people.
Ms. Mai Kim Nhat - residing in Tan Binh ward - excitedly shared: "Before, hearing about digital transformation, I felt very far-fetched, and afraid of complicated machines. But coming here to sit and drink water, being guided step by step by the children on my phone, I find it easy to understand and extremely convenient. This way of doing things is very close and practical to us people.
Agreeing with this view, Mr. Pham Trung Tuyen expressed his satisfaction: "I highly appreciate the government's initiative to go down to the coffee shops to support people. Removing obstacles on the spot helps us save time and no longer have to struggle with operational errors as before. This is truly a miniature technology festival for the community.
Towards building digital citizens from the grassroots level
In addition to administrative procedures, people also have access to utility applications such as SOS, VNeTraffic and Electronic Party Member Handbook. The most prominent point is that the model has helped the elderly - who are inherently wary of technology - become more confident when entering the digital environment.
Mr. Tuyen recounted that at the "Coffee - Digital Transformation" session, ward officials directly supported elderly party members like him to install, log in and use the Electronic Party Member Handbook on mobile devices.
Thanks to that, it helps old party members like me to access conveniently, improve the efficiency of activities and party member management in the current digital transformation conditions" - Mr. Tuyen said.
According to a representative of the leadership of Tan Binh ward, the "Cà phê - digital transformation" model not only helps people access public services more conveniently, but also contributes to changing habits, forming a digital population, promoting digital government and digital society right from the grassroots level.
The model will be organized in the immediate future once a month.Based on the actual needs of people in neighborhoods and financial conditions, the Steering Committee will study expanding the frequency of organization, towards being able to maintain it more regularly, even weekly, in order to better serve the needs of the people in the digital transformation process. This is also an important foundation to promote digital transformation into life in a substantive and effective way, associated with each person in the area.
