    According to Apple Insider, the standard version of the iPhone 17 may be disappointing when still equipped with the A18 chip like on the iPhone 16 generation.

    GF Securities' renowned analyst Jeff Pu, cited from the supply chain, said that the standard iPhone 17 version still uses the A18 chip, while the remaining versions will integrate the new A19 chip.

    This expert also said that the iPhone 17 and 17 Air use RAM 8 GB, not increasing to 12 GB like the 2 Pro models. The screen size of the iPhone 17 is still 6.1 inches instead of 6.3 inches like the 17 Pro.

    Previously, on Digital Chat Station and expert Ming-Chi Kuo said that the face recognition sensor for Face ID on iPhone 17 will be smaller, but the size of the Dynamic Island area will not change significantly. This Apple security technology will only improve significantly in 2027 on the iPhone 18 Pro series.

    The 2025 generation of iPhone is expected to launch in September with 4 versions of iPhone 17, 17 Air, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max. In particular, the iPhone 17 Air is a completely new line with an ultra-thin design, replacing the Plus model.
