Da Nang Semiconductor Day 2024 is expected to be a forum for parties to exchange, discuss, and propose solutions and policies for the development of the semiconductor sector in the city, aiming to build the brand of Da Nang - the semiconductor center of the Central region of Vietnam.
Da Nang City has 3 concentrated Information Technology Parks recognized by the Prime Minister including: Da Nang Software Park Concentrated Information Technology Park; Da Nang Concentrated Information Technology Park - Phase 1; FPT Office Complex.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Trung Chinh - Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee said that since the end of 2023, Da Nang City has quickly seized the opportunity to approach investors, promote the investment environment and opportunities as well as deploy human resource training in the field of semiconductor microchips.
The world's leading semiconductor design companies such as Synopsys and Marvell have established a presence in Da Nang. Nvidia, Qualcom, Intel... have surveyed investment opportunities in Da Nang and are planning to cooperate in training high-quality human resources in the city.
Foxlink Group, one of Taiwan's leading enterprises, has also invested 135 million USD in the city and is planning to expand in the near future.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City said: "With the goal of "taking the lead and going fast" in developing human resources for the semiconductor industry in Vietnam to catch the investment wave, Da Nang is looking forward to the contributions of domestic and foreign investors, businesses, and experts in the planning and orientation of the development of the semiconductor industry."
The Danang Semiconductor Day 2024 event includes two main sessions: Danang Semiconductor Investment Promotion Conference taking place in the morning and Danang Semiconductor Human Resource Supply and Demand Connection Conference taking place in the afternoon of the same day.
