Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition a few days ago and officially launched it in Korea recently. This premium folding phone quickly attracted attention and sold out in just 10 minutes after going on sale.
According to Sammyfans, citing an announcement from Samsung, the sale of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition started 7 hours later than expected. Previously, there were many rumors about the quality of the product.
The foldable phones were reportedly sold out 10 minutes after going on sale on Samsung's website.
It’s possible that Samsung didn’t have enough stock for this phone in the first place. They also need to sell the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6 versions they have in stock.
The reason many people want the Special Edition is because it has higher specifications than the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6. This version is equipped with a 200MP main camera, while the regular version only has a 50MP camera.
In addition, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition is equipped with 16GB of RAM, which improves multitasking and AI performance compared to the 12GB of RAM of the regular version.
One key difference is that it supports Wi-Fi 7, which offers faster connectivity than the Galaxy Z Fold 6's Wi-Fi 6e. With the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor for Galaxy, these upgrades make the Special Edition a more worthy device to consider.
It's a shame that Samsung isn't releasing the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition in other markets. Many sources suggest that it's unlikely that this phone will be widely released in the future.
