version 3.0 brings a completely new design to both iPhone and iPad.
All edited photos will be displayed as a grid, while the navigation interface is divided into three main cards, including a new Faves section - where users can save their favorite editing tools for quick access.
Snapseed currently has more than 25 tools and filters, including new movie filters.
Google also updated the app icon with a more compact design.
Snapseed was acquired by Google in 2012. The surprise update of the app has surprised many, as the previous iOS version has not received any significant upgrades since 2021.
One thing to keep in mind is that Snapseed is still completely free and ad-free. Currently, the version on Google Play is still the old version from last year. It is not yet clear when Android will have version 3.0.
The Snapseed update shows that Google has not completely abandoned the mobile photo editing playground, even though the app was previously thought to have been "forgotten".
With an intuitive interface, a series of powerful tools and a free ad-free policy, Snapseed promises to continue to be a valuable choice for iOS users who love mobile photography.
