Google Photos' photo editor has just been supplemented with new tools, allowing users to make quick and sophisticated edits. These tools can help remove imperfections, smooth skin, brighten eyes, whiten teeth and many other effects.
Users just need to choose the face in the photo, then choose the desired tools such as: removing imperfections, smoothing skin, treating dark circles under the eyes, adjusting irises, whitening teeth, adjusting eyebrows or lips. After selecting, you can customize the level of effect as you wish.
These features are being gradually deployed globally, for Android devices with at least 4GB of RAM and running Android 9.0 or higher.
By integrating editing tools directly into the application, Google expects users not to need to switch to other applications to edit photos.
This move shows the trend that technology platforms are increasingly deeply integrating content editing and creation features right in the ecosystem, in order to retain users longer and compete directly with specialized applications.
