Users will see the new Gemini icon in the top right corner of the toolbar, allowing to open the chat interface right from the bottom edge of the screen.
The Gemini version on Chrome for Android still retains almost all features that have appeared on PCs. Including the ability to create AI Nano Banana photos, connect to Google applications such as Google Calendar and Google Keep, and the feature to help AI exploit context from other Google services of users.
Google also brought the "self-browsing web" feature to Android, allowing Gemini to operate on the website to complete work. However, this feature is only for users of the AI Pro or Ultra package.
Google says Gemini on Chrome Android is integrated with security layers similar to the computer version. For sensitive tasks such as shopping or posting on social media, the system will ask users to confirm before performing.
Gemini on Chrome Android will begin to be released to US users from the end of June. The device needs to have at least 4 GB of RAM and support from Android 12 or higher.
