This move takes place at the same time as Google introduces Fitbit Air - a new health bra design similar to specialized fitness tracking devices.
According to Google, the Google Health application will become the center of the company's wearable device and health tracking strategy.
The new service named Google Health Coach is built on the AI Gemini platform, capable of acting as a fitness trainer, sleep expert and personal health advisor.
Users will establish an initial profile by providing information such as health goals, living habits, existing training equipment, injuries to note and other lifestyle factors. From there, AI will provide personalized suggestions, plans and analysis.
Google says users can also chat with AI in natural language to update goals, record meals, exercises or health records via voice, images or uploaded data files.
Deeper integration of AI into the healthcare sector shows that Google wants to turn wearable devices not only into data recording tools, but into health assistants capable of analyzing, advising and personalizing in real-time.
