Google deploys new Gemini feature, supports choosing optimal meeting time

QUANG MINH |

Google is deploying a new Gemini feature, which is expected to be useful to many users, especially in the work environment.

This tool is integrated into Google Calendar, helping to propose the most suitable timeframe to schedule meetings based on the schedule of participating members.

When creating a meeting, users can select the "Suggested Time" section. At this time, Gemini will analyze the free time milestones that attendees have marked on the calendar, and detect possible calendar conflicts, thereby providing a list of suggested time frames for organizers to choose from.

In case the chosen time is not suitable for everyone and many people refuse invitations, the organizer can easily change the schedule. Just by reopening the event, the system will display a time frame where all attendees are free, allowing for quick meeting invitation updates.

However, this feature has some limitations. First of all, it only works effectively when the organizer has access to the schedule of participating members. In addition, the tool is only available for paid users, including Google Workspace Business (Standard and Plus), Enterprise (Standard and Plus), and Google AI Pro for Education additional packages.
