Real-life picture of how AI is opening up new directions for Vietnamese people
Throughout the 50 stories introduced by Google is the spirit of proactively receiving technology and the desire to solve practical problems of Vietnamese people. From programmers, educators, startup businesses to traditional business owners, artificial intelligence (AI) is no longer a distant concept in the laboratory, but has become a powerful assistant, opening up new ways of doing things and improving the quality of work for all classes in society.
Typical of this transformation wave is the story of a 13-year-old student at OplaCRM technology company, who personally developed a multi-agent AI system for businesses based on the Google Gemini Enterprise platform. In another humane cross-section, the social enterprise Reaching Out Teahouse in Hoi An has applied Google AI to remove communication barriers for hearing-impaired artisans, while optimizing 80% of marketing costs.
In the business field, the beauty brand Cỏ Cây Hoa Lá has used AI to automate multi-channel sales to empower 47,000 small partners. As for the financial technology platform Fundiin, AI on Google Cloud has helped the system automatically evaluate and approve credit instantly for customers who buy first and pay later. These real-life stories affirm that the value of AI lies not simply in technology, but in how people apply technology to solve specific needs and create positive impacts for the community.
The above real stories also reflect a broader picture of the trend of AI reception in Vietnam. According to the latest report on Gemini in Southeast Asia, Vietnam is leading the region in both the level of application in learning and the rate of use of native languages. Notably, up to 89% of the total number of prompts are sent directly in Vietnamese - the highest level in the region.
From real stories to the foundation of long-term AI capabilities
The proactiveness of Vietnamese users in applying AI is fostered from a sustainable and long-term digital capacity development process, closely following national priority orientations on digital transformation and promoting the economy towards the vision of the "National Rise Era" in 2045.
Clear evidence of this orientation is Google's coordination with government organizations and local associations to implement the Gemini Academy program earlier this year for more than 8,000 small and medium-sized enterprises nationwide, providing practical AI tools to optimize business operations.
To date, Google's expanded human resource training programs have reached and improved the capacity of more than 100,000 Vietnamese people through courses from basic to advanced, including more than 30,000 public sector officials, 32,000 students and 8,000 small and medium-sized enterprises.
Continuing that effort, Google Vietnam continues to expand initiatives for the young generation by announcing the second nationwide recruitment for the Google Student Ambassador (GSA) program, aiming to recruit 1,000 ambassadors from universities and colleges across the country.
