
The Ministry of Science and Technology has approved a list of 76 level 2 domain names with two characters under the domain name ".vn" to be put up for auction for usage rights in the 2nd phase of 2026. The auctions will take place online on June 24 and 25.
According to the Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC), this is a special group of domain names with a short length, finite number, high recognition capability and great value in brand building, business as well as developing online presence in the Internet environment.
This auction list features many notable domain names such as: ab. vn, dr.vn, ic. vn, 9x. vn, ny. vn, hi. vn, ok. vn, fu. vn, mb. vn, ot. vn, vv. vn, ak. vn,... along with many domain names combining letters and numbers with high brand recognition ability.
VNNIC said that beautiful, high-value domain names help businesses complete online presence strategies, increase brand recognition and proactively prevent risks arising when domain names related to the brand are registered or exploited by other entities.

According to regulations, auctions are organized publicly and transparently in the online form. The starting price for each domain name is 10 million VND, the deposit is 1 million VND. Individuals, organizations and businesses that meet the conditions according to legal regulations can register to participate through the online auction system of Vietnam Partnership Auction Company.
After completing the auction and fulfilling all financial obligations, the winning bidder will be allowed to register to use the domain name according to the provisions of telecommunications and Internet law.
According to VNNIC, the auction of the right to use the national domain name ".vn" is one of the solutions to improve the efficiency of exploiting national Internet resources, creating fair access opportunities for high-value domain names. At the same time, it contributes to promoting the development of the digital economy, digital society and building the Vietnamese brand in the digital environment.
