A truck carrying a new Samsung product, including 5,000 Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 phones, 5,000 Galaxy Watch 8 models, and other phones such as the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy A16 models were stolen near Heathrow Airport, London (UK).
The shipment may have been stolen after being delivered to the warehouse upon arrival at the airport, the report said. According to the Korean news agency, the total value of the shipment is estimated at nearly 13.3 billion won (equivalent to 9.6 million Euros). Fortunately, the shipment was insured, so the manufacturer did not suffer any damage.
It is known that British police opened an investigation after the incident and found the stolen container. However, it is still unclear whether any Galaxy phones and smartwatches were found.
Samsung Electronics Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are expected to go on sale in Europe for 1,799 Euros and 1,149 Euros, respectively, for 2.88 million won and 1.84 million won. According to Yonhap News TV, with the high price and appeal of these two foldable smartphone models, it is not ruled out that this theft was committed by an organized crime group.
The new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 were not launched globally long ago, belonging to the high-end segment. With outstanding AI features and sophisticated design, these two product lines have received great attention in the US, Korea and some other markets. The number of deposits and purchases has increased compared to the previous generation.
