Apple has just released the iOS 26 Public Beta update, allowing global users to experience outstanding features such as the Liquid Glass interface, Apple Intelligence system, and many other improvements without a developer account.
To install iOS 26 Public Beta, users only need to register an account in the Apple Beta Software Program (beta.apple.com).
After logging in with Apple ID and agreeing to the terms, you can immediately go to the "Social Update" section in Settings → General Settings to select the beta update. The iPhone will automatically identify eligible devices and display the iOS 26 Public Beta download option.
The list of compatible devices includes the iPhone SE generation 2 and later, generations iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and the entire iPhone 16 series. An important note is that older models such as the iPhone XR, XS and XS Max will not receive this update.
Users should back up all data through iCloud or computer (Finder or iTunes) before installing. This is to ensure the stable operating system can be restored if the beta version has errors during use.
After installation, users will experience a completely new Liquid Glass interface, more sophisticated Motion Effects, live translation features in the Services app, Upgrade the messaging, Phone app, and better integrate with Siri through Apple Intelligence.
After 4 previous tests, iOS 26 Public Beta is receiving many positive feedback from users about its stability. However, it is still possible to have errors, run out of battery or conflict with some apps.
Apple is expected to officially release iOS 26 in September, which coincides with the launch of the iPhone 17 series. Testing the beta from now will help users get used to the significant changes in Apple's ecosystem this year soon.
