This is a long-awaited feature that makes the experience on this platform closer to TikTok. Instagram has just announced the view History feature, allowing users to review Reels videos they have watched before. This feature makes it easy to find videos that have not been saved yet or have been interrupted while watching - for example, when watching, a call comes or you accidentally close the application.

Have you ever tried to find a video you had watched on Instagram but couldnt find it? Now there is a way, Instagram director Adam Mosseri shared. According to him, users can access the Documents -> Settings -> Activities -> View History to review all Reels videos they have watched.

Similar to TikTok, Instagram allows arranging viewing history by day, week, month or specific time period. Users can also delete videos that they do not want to save. In particular, Instagram offers more options for arranging videos in order of time, background time, or by author - more flexible than TikTok.

Previously, many people had to download personal data from the application or use tricks to restore viewed videos. The addition of Viewing History makes video recovery faster, more convenient and safer.

Since the launch of the new feature, Instagram Reels has been continuously updated to narrow the gap with competitors. Recently, the platform has also allowed creators to connect multiple Reels into chains and add a Images in photos view feature - a utility already available on TikTok before.
