Apple has officially released iOS 27 with a series of new features, focusing on interface, artificial intelligence and iPhone customization capabilities.
Liquid Glass continues to be changed
Apple continues to adjust the Liquid Glass interface on iOS 27. Users can reduce the transparency of the interface to make the content display clearer. The home screen also has an additional option to help the application icon be easily viewed.
Siri and Apple Intelligence updated
iOS 27 expands features related to Siri and Apple Intelligence. Visual Intelligence is also supplemented with new tools.
However, the ability to use some AI features depends on the device and region.
Messages have more tools
The Message app is supplemented with a new drawing tool, allowing users to create content directly in conversations. iOS 27 also allows hiding the Spelling Reread button on the Message interface.
Phone and FaceTime applications are also updated, while AirPods have an additional option to set a custom EQ.
Lock screen is added with options
iPhone users have more ways to customize the lock screen with compact watches, volume control bars and the option to turn off the "Play" utility.
The control center is also supplemented with the ability to quickly open the settings of the current application. Notably, iOS 27 separates the alarm volume from the ringtone volume.
Wallet, Health and other apps
Wallet is supplemented with 7 new features. The Health app is redesigned and has more tools related to health and fitness. Apple Maps, Weather, Mail, Photos, Calendar, Notes and Reminders also receive their own updates.
CarPlay has more than 8 new features, while Home has been added with more than 10 features related to smart homes.
iPhone has a new recovery mode
A notable change on iOS 27 is the new Recovery Mode for iPhone and iPad, which has a similar approach to Recovery Mode on Macs, supporting users to handle software problems.
In addition, Find My has an additional "Hidden location" option. iPhones can also be used to update Apple TVs or bring Apple TV controls to the home screen.
Not all features are available as soon as iOS 27 is released. Some features are delayed, while two features only support iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air. Some other features are also limited to the EU market.
