iPhone 17 is the locomotive of revenue for the smartphones market at the end of the year

NGUYỄN ĐĂNG |

The iPhone 17 and iPhone Air fever will create a big boost for the smartphone market by the end of 2025, forcing Android brands to accelerate.

It is estimated that users in Vietnam have spent thousands of billions of VND to buy iPhone 17 and iPhone Air, with a deposit of more than 200,000 devices. Of which, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models, the most sought-after space orange.

The great attraction of iPhone 17 in Vietnam will have a strong impact on the market at the end of the year. The fourth quarter revenue will partly offset the decline at the beginning of the year, thanks to the new iPhone cycle and major shopping opportunities such as October 20, 11, December 12 and Christmas.

The heat from the new iPhone forces Android smartphone manufacturers to quickly react by increasing promotional programs and guarantees to push the devices with strong camera, AI capabilities... In general, the year-end smartphone market will be divided into two poles. In the high-end segment, iPhone will lead, while the mid-range segment of Android brands will dominate, Ms. Anh Hong - Communications Director of 24hStore system shared with Lao Dong.

According to Ms. Hong, iPhone 17 will be the leader in revenue in the fourth quarter of 2025 for large systems, not only from device sales but also from accessories and accompanying warranty packages. During the launch period, the proportion of iPhone revenue often accounts for the majority of Apple products and leads to cross-selling of accompanying products such as cables, chargers, AirPods, Apple Watch, etc.

Sharing the same assessment, Mr. Doan Van Hieu Em, CEO of the TopZone system, shared: "Every iPhone launch season is an important milestone, not only for TopZone but also for the Vietnamese technology-loving community".

TopZone has recorded nearly 100,000 deposits for the new iPhone line, the highest among major systems in Vietnam. In addition to Apple's attraction, flexible financial policies and solutions such as 0% interest payment, 10% product value prepaid, or 1 million when paying by card, old-age subsidies up to 3 million VND... from the system also contribute to attracting more customers.

With a large purchasing power of the iPhone 17, many people are concerned that its price will increase in the near future. Sharing with Lao Dong, a media representative of a system authorized by Apple said: In the short term, in the next 2-4 weeks of opening for sale, systems authorized by Apple will keep listed prices, compete with each other with incentive programs, old-ticket - innovation, warranty...

Some hot color options for the Pro Max line may be locally depleted, causing hand-carried goods to fluctuate, but genuine goods will not increase listed prices.

In the medium term, 4-8 weeks after opening for sale, supply will be stable, and year-end programs will push prices down in a beneficial direction for customers".

In general, the price of the genuine iPhone 17 will not increase in the next few weeks. The price that customers actually pay to own a new iPhone can be more affordable thanks to incentives, as well as package sales policies. However, there is still a risk of price increases if the local supply of the sought-after "hot" color version is cut off, or exchange rate fluctuations.
