Backup, overheating and interface errors
Apple has just released an iOS 26 update with a completely new interface called Liquid Glass. According to the company, this design brings more clarity, depth and a smoother experience across the entire iPhone system.
widgets become more vivid, the background is smoother, the system cards are more modernly bent. Apple affirms that the goal of the change is to create a fresh, synchronous look for the entire ecosystem.
However, in reality, use is not very convincing to users. On the Reddit forum, a series of complaints appeared immediately after the update.
The BurgerKhaega account commented: The documents in the utility are extremely hidden. The Photos app became gray, and the dark interface looked no different from a cheap phone with fake iOS. This person also pointed out the delays in the conversion process and the updated capacity "squeezing" up to 14GB on some devices.
Apple promotes iOS 26 not only to be more beautiful but also to be faster and more battery-efficient, especially on new-generation iPhones. But user feedback shows the opposite.
Some reports said the device got unusually hot and depleted the battery quickly, even when used at a minimum.
Toothpeeler complained: The keyboard is sometimes skewed, the right cushion is almost gone. This is a serious interface error.
In addition, the consistency in design is also a controversial point. Users who co-name their account time-will-waste-you commented: Why does Apple use many different perimeter lenses? The previous design was much more minimalist and intuitive.
Expectations and realities
Performance is the biggest concern for users today as the latency is considered quite large. Some basic features such as displaying battery percentage are also considered inaccurate and more difficult to observe. Many loyal fans think that the update is only beautiful when seen in promotional videos, but it does not meet actual needs well.
However, complaints after each new iOS release are not uncommon. Technology experts say that part of the reason comes from the need for users to get used to the new design language.
Sometimes the initial discomfort will disappear, and the new design will be widely accepted, one expert commented.
Apple has not yet responded officially to the complaints, but users expect the company to soon release a patch to fix performance errors, optimize the battery and improve the experience.
With Liquid Glass, the big question is whether this will become a design advance, or just a dividing experiment in the iPhone community?
