According to information from Sonny Dickson - who specializes in leaking information about Apple products, images of SIM trays with three different colors are believed to be components for the iPhone 18 Pro. These images show that Apple may continue not to include black in the option list for the high-end iPhone line.
The above information was shared by Dickson after MacRumors quoted a leaked source in China as saying that the iPhone 18 Pro may have three colors: Dark Cherry, Sky Blue and Black.
However, Dickson said that the three colors appearing in the image are the only colors he has seen in recent months. Previously, in May, he shared iPhone 18 Pro models with both black.
When asked about this difference, Dickson explained that black models are still produced annually, but black no longer seems to be Apple's priority.
If the leaked information is accurate, the iPhone 18 Pro will continue the trend of not using black on the high-end line. In 2025, the iPhone 17 Pro will also for the first time have no black or dark gray options, instead Apple will offer Earth Orange, Silver and Dark Blue.
Previously, a leaked source in China also said that the iPhone 18 Pro will not be black. Meanwhile, another report mentioned options including Light Blue, Dark Cherry Red, Dark Gray and Silver.
Whether the iPhone 18 Pro will actually remove black or not will be confirmed when Apple announces the product. According to the expected plan, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will be introduced at Apple's event in September, along with the first folding screen iPhone model, often called iPhone Ultra.
In addition to color, new iPhone models are said to have many changes in design and hardware. However, this information is still leaked and has not been confirmed by Apple.
