Ensuring safe and stable electricity throughout the dry season
In the first half of 2026, the South experienced a harsh dry season when intense heat came early and lasted widely. Along with that, the Southern region maintained high economic growth rates, especially in industrial parks and key economic regions, causing electricity consumption demand to increase sharply.
Accumulated in the first 6 months of 2026, EVNSPC's maximum capacity reached 11,115 MW, an increase of 6.64% compared to the same period in 2025; commercial electricity output reached 36.88 billion kWh, an increase of 7.29% compared to the same period in 2025.
Thanks to proactively deploying synchronous and drastic solutions, EVNSPC has ensured safe and reliable power supply, serving production and people's lives in the managed area. EVNSPC has proactively closely followed the situation, directed member units to implement a series of solutions in operation management, promoted electricity saving, load management, application of science and technology and digital transformation in all fields...
Business and customer service work continues to be a bright spot. With a 24/7 multi-channel customer care system, all customer requests and recommendations are received and resolved promptly, publicly and transparently. The rate of customers paying electricity bills without cash by the end of June 2026 has reached 100%.

The electricity saving movement has also been widely and drastically implemented, making an important contribution to ensuring electricity supply. EVNSPC has closely coordinated with Departments of Industry and Trade to advise the People's Committees of provinces and cities to develop plans to implement Directive No. 09 and Directive No. 10 of the Prime Minister on electricity saving. Electricity output saved in 6 months reached 2.34 billion kWh, equivalent to 6.35% of commercial electricity output.
The work of load adjustment (DR) and load relocation continues to be implemented synchronously, contributing to improving electricity efficiency and supporting ensuring electricity supply during high load times. The Corporation has signed agreements to participate in the DR program with 5,979 customers with electricity consumption of 500,000 kWh/year or more; along with that, reviewed 4,152 customers with potential participation in the load relocation program with a total relocated capacity of more than 401 MW.
Prominent imprints in construction investment work
Right from the beginning of the year, EVNSPC has mobilized maximum resources, strengthened decentralization, and closely followed the scene to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in investment procedures, site clearance, materials and equipment, and construction organization, in order to accelerate the progress of projects.
With the set goals, the involvement of the entire system and with many breakthrough and innovative decisions, accumulated to June 2026, EVNSPC has started construction of 32 projects, energized 53 110kV power grid projects; net investment disbursement value reached 7,039 billion VND, equal to 96.8% compared to the same period in 2025. Thereby, contributing to improving the capacity of the power system, meeting the demand for load growth and attracting investment for southern provinces and cities in 2026 and the following years.

In particular, implementing the Resolution of the Party Committee of the Corporation on investment and construction work, EVNSPC completed energizing 51 110kV power grid projects right on April 30, 2026, achieving practical achievements to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the country's reunification and the 51st anniversary of EVNSPC's establishment (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026).
From now until the end of the year, EVNSPC will continue to synchronously implement solutions to improve the reliability of power supply, reduce power loss and be ready with plans to respond to natural disasters, storms and unusual situations. In particular, EVNSPC will accelerate the progress of investment preparation, commencement, construction, energizing and disbursement of construction investment projects according to plan, especially projects to ensure electricity for the APEC 2027 Conference...
