On May 23, news from Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that there is a Khanh Hoa Provincial Digital Transformation Strategy for the period 2026 - 2030, identifying digital transformation as a new development method and a key driving force to promote innovation in the growth model in the new development phase.
According to the strategy, digital transformation is identified as a key and consistent political task of the entire political system, contributing to improving labor productivity, competitiveness and governance quality of the province.
Khanh Hoa sets a goal to basically complete the construction of digital government by 2030; form a smart governance model based on big data and artificial intelligence (AI); become a locality in the leading group in the South Central region in digital transformation, digital economy and innovation.
The province also aims to build a synchronous digital ecosystem to serve the development of the marine economy, smart tourism, smart logistics, smart cities and key economic sectors.
According to the strategy's orientation, state management, production, business and social life activities will mainly operate in a digital environment.
Digital data is identified as a new development resource, while artificial intelligence has become a popular tool in public administration, providing public services and supporting socio-economic development.
Khanh Hoa also aims to become a smart coastal city, a center of marine innovation and digital marine economy with a position at the national and international levels.
The strategy also clearly states the general goal by 2030 is to implement comprehensive, synchronous, substantive and sustainable digital transformation in all industries and fields; developing digital government, digital economy and digital society on the basis of digital data, digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence.
Along with that, the province will fundamentally innovate management methods, production and business, and social life towards digitization, smartness, and modernity; form a unified and interconnected digital ecosystem from the province to the grassroots level; improve the effectiveness and efficiency of public administration; promote the digital economy to become an important growth engine of the province's GRDP.
Khanh Hoa strives to be in the top 10 localities in the country in digital transformation by 2030; the digital economy contributes about 30 - 35% of the province's GRDP; 100% of state management activities are carried out in a digital environment; 100% of state agencies operate on digital platforms and digital data.
In addition, the province will form a smart governance model based on big data and artificial intelligence; develop digital infrastructure, digital data and digital platforms to become essential development infrastructure of the locality.
The strategy also sets specific goals by 2030 for digital government, digital economy, digital society, digital infrastructure, digital data and network security; and at the same time sets out tasks and solutions to organize implementation.
