On May 12 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) opened the Biztech 2026 Conference and Exhibition with the theme "AI Agentic Era: Operational Automation and New Growth Engines".
The program is sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, taking place in two days, May 12-13 in Ho Chi Minh City, gathering more than 2,000 delegates who are business leaders, technology experts, financial institutions, manufacturing enterprises, retailers, logistics, e-commerce, along with more than 50 speakers and 20 technology booths. The program includes 5 conferences, exhibitions of AI solutions, effective digital transformation and 1:1 trade connections between businesses.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Giang - General Secretary of VINASA - said: "Biztech 2026 is organized with the goal of creating a real-world connection space between pioneering technology solutions and the survival problems of the business community.
Instead of distant macro concepts, this year's event has the mission of decoding and popularizing the "AI Agentic Era". The goal is to provide businesses, especially SMEs, with tools, methodologies, and experiences to transition from the "responsive operation" model to "automated forecasting", thereby improving productivity, reducing costs, and reaching out to the global market.
On the opening day of BIZTECH 2026, there were 4 thematic sessions, delving into the trend of bringing AI Agentic into the operating core of enterprises including: Finance, manufacturing, sales and network security. Throughout the 4 thematic seminars on the opening day, a strategic orientation picture appeared very clearly: Technology is no longer a supporting tool, but an operating core.
From finance, cybersecurity, retail to manufacturing, all industries are facing major changes. Digital transformation is no longer about purchasing software, but a journey to build a "autonomous nervous system" capable of learning, self-decision and self-protection at a speed of milliseconds.
Through discussion sessions, speakers have proposed a series of very specific solutions: Unnecessary periodic replacement is causing a waste of 20% of spare materials.
Digitizing maintenance data is a mandatory preparation step to move towards the Prescriptive Maintenance era. The overall equipment performance index (OEE) at many Vietnamese factories is currently below 60%, while the world standard is over 80%. This difference largely comes from outdated maintenance thinking and fragmented data systems on paper/Excel.
In the context of AI shifting from support tools to the "new operating infrastructure" of businesses, Biztech 2026 focuses on practical deployment problems: How to make AI go into the operating core, create substantial growth, optimize costs and help businesses react faster to market fluctuations.
