Benefits of AI Agentic
On May 13, the plenary session of the Biztech 2026 Conference and Exhibition with the theme "AI Agentic Era: Automation of Operations and New Growth Momentum" officially took place in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting hundreds of experts, managers, and business owners.
Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Chairman of the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA) shared: "The rate of AI access of Vietnamese businesses currently reaches 65%, but most are still stuck at the basic levels. We spend billions of VND to buy technology but still consider AI (artificial intelligence) as a supporting "software".
Statistics from the Capgemini Institute show that organizations integrating "Digital Labor Force" are speeding up work processing by 300%. Profits from Agentic AI bring an average return on investment (ROI) of up to 171%, 3 times higher than old solutions.
Hybrid Workforce is the key to freeing people from hardship, returning us to the greatest privilege: Creativity. It's time for us to change: Let's officially put AI into the Organizational Chart of businesses.
Barriers to conversion
Although the potential of AI Agentic is undeniable, most of the integration process in Vietnam is still stuck in the "pilot" phase. The biggest bottleneck does not lie in the source code or technology limits, but in outdated management thinking and the poorness of the internal database system.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Huy, CEO of Pencil Group, pointed out fatal loopholes: 70% of current personnel lack a combination of professional knowledge and AI skills, while 44% of businesses do not have any data management policies.
Looking deeper into asset and real estate management, Mr. Do Huy Hoang from TNTech, gave an alarming figure: 70-80% of Vietnamese real estate does not have complete digital records and 60% of asset knowledge is in employees' heads instead of on the system.
When this bottleneck is overcome, AI applications are forecast to help reduce operating costs by 10-15% and extend the life cycle of assets by another 25%.
Proposing 4 actions, and 3 axes to master AI Agentic
Through conferences and discussions, experts have proposed 4 actions and 3 axes to master AI Agentic. Accordingly, the transformation of leadership thinking, building dual competencies, building internal governance frameworks and prioritizing data platforms, and data inventory are things that businesses need to do.
These four actions will revolve around 3 main axes: strategic thinking from AI replacing humans to AI accompanying humans; Skillset (double competency practice skills, equipped with multidisciplinary knowledge and data); Toolset (AI tools and infrastructure).
Mr. Nguyen Khac Lich, Director of the Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry, Ministry of Science and Technology (S&T) said that the Ministry of S&T orients AI development in the spirit of "Make in Vietnam to Lead", which means creating in Vietnam, making in Vietnam to master core AI technology, developing AI products in Vietnam, solving Vietnam's problems and gradually leading the domestic market, conquering the international market.
To realize that orientation, the State will continue to focus on four major groups of solutions: First, perfecting institutional building, second, developing high-quality human resources, third, developing strategic infrastructure, and fourth, promoting digital technology businesses to develop and reach out internationally.
From here, creating favorable conditions for businesses to increase investment in research, development and master technology; forming AI products and platforms Make in Viet Nam with international competitiveness; and building a comprehensive AI business ecosystem," Mr. Lich shared.
