Concerns about battery life on iPhone 17 Air

QUANG MINH (THEO macrumors) |

The iPhone 17 Air model - the version rumored to be the thinnest in Apple's history - may have to change battery life, according to some recent leaks.

According to The Information, the iPhone 17 Air will have less battery life than previous iPhone models. According to Apple's internal testing, only 6070% of users can use the iPhone 17 Air for a full day after each charge, compared to 80 90% in other iPhone models.

The main reason is believed to be the super-thin design of only 5.5mm at the thinnest point. Although the rear camera cluster will be thicker, the overall space for the battery will still be narrowed. To compensate, Apple is expected to launch a backup charging case specifically for this model.

However, there are still opposing opinions. Journalist Mark Gurman from Bloomberg in March confirmed that the battery life of the iPhone 17 Air will be "equivalent to the current iPhone". According to him, Apple has optimized hardware and software to improve power consumption performance, but did not disclose specifics.

Three points are expected to help iPhone 17 Air to save battery, including: higher density battery, C1 power -saving modem developed by Apple and the removal of super wide -angle cameras to make a bigger battery space. In fact, the iPhone 16E model using C1 modem is currently the 6.1 -inch iPhone model with the best battery life, though not as thin as the iPhone 17 Air.

Sources are still united about the battery performance on the iPhone 17 Air. The device is expected to launch in September, and the technology world expects more clear information in the near future.
