Previously, the launch date of the MacBook Pro M5 was rumored to be early 2026. However, the leaked source said that Apple has been speeding up the progress and is now "near the mass production stage" for this laptop line.
Another sign that the M5 MacBook Pro is about to appear is that Apple stores have gradually run out of stock for the standard M4 model, while there is still enough leftover with the M4 Pro and M4 Max versions. The leak also notes that the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips are not ready for mass production until early next year.
Notably, Apple will not hold a grand event like the launch of the iPhone 17, but will likely announce the remaining fall product line through online announcements, similar to what the company did with the MacBook Pro last October.
