Apple has released a new firmware update for AirPods Pro 3, AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4 models, code 8A358. This version replaces previous versions including 8A356 (AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4) and 8A357 (AirPods Pro 3).
Apple has not announced details of the changes, but it is likely that the update will only include fault correction and performance improvement as usual.
Some sources say the update may be in preparation for the expansion of Live Translation in the iOS 26.1 version, which is still being tested and is expected to be released publicly this month.
Unlike iPhone or Mac, AirPods does not allow users to update themselves manually. The installation of new system software will take place automatically, when the headphones are connected to the iPhone or iPad according to Apple's instructions.
Apple's regular release of system software updates for the AirPods line shows that the company is still quietly improving the performance of wireless headphones, although it does not always announce changes in detail.
With iOS 26.1 about to launch with many AI-related features, technology experts predict that AirPods will soon be upgraded to interact more deeply with the new Siri, support real-time language translations or automatically recognize usage situations to optimize sound.
