Samsung has released a security patch in July 2025 for a series of Galaxy A series devices, including the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A10.
Although not a major update like One UI 8, this update is very important as it patches many serious vulnerabilities, helping to better protect users against potential attacks.
Details of the software update
According to the technology website Sam Mobile, the devices that are receiving the updates are as follows:
Galaxy A56: Software version A566BXXS5AYFB
Galaxy A04: Software version A045FXXS7BEYF5
Galaxy A15 5G: Software version A155MUBS7CYF1
This patch deals with a number of serious security vulnerabilities, including CVE-2025-47202. This is one of the weaknesses that can allow attackers to take control of the device locally if not handled promptly.
Outstanding security improvements
In the official change log, Samsung said it has patched the off-line writing error in knox Vault, a hardware security feature on Galaxy devices. This error could allow the local attacker to score beyond the memory limit, which is a significant risk if exploited.
There are also SystemUI-related bug fixes on the Galaxy Watch, where local hackers can exploit weaknesses in the signal processing mechanism to turn off the device or illegally access the phone number via SamsungAccount.
The patch has added new access control layers, improving the safety of the entire Samsung ecosystem.
Take immediate action to protect the device
Although users are eagerly waiting for One UI 8 and flagship models such as Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7, this July patch should not be ignored.
The vulnerabilities that have been fixed are likely to be exploited in the real environment if users do not update.
To check and update, just go to Settings > Software Update > download and install.
Updating now will make your device safer and avoid potential risks related to personal data and system security.
