This list reflects the trends and information that Vietnamese people are most interested in and searched for the most in the past year.
Sports take the "top"
In 2024, many major international sporting events took place, attracting special attention from fans in Vietnam and around the world. Tournaments in a 4-year cycle such as "EURO", "Asian Cup", "Olympics", "Copa America" and "Paralympics" dominated the top "Most Popular General Search Trends", demonstrating the great interest of Vietnamese people in sports.
The keywords "Climate change process" and "Typhoon Yagi" are also on the list of common search trends, showing people's interest in environmental disasters and climate change, especially after the recent severe damage caused by natural disasters in the country.
Interest in AI tools is growing
“Gemini”, “Viggle”, “Character.AI” and “ChatGPT” are the AI tools that stand out in the “AI Tools” topic. The diversity in search demand reflects the growing interest of users in exploring new AI tools, in addition to the already popular names.
Among the top 10 AI tools on the list, it is worth noting that there is an increasing interest in AI tools that create videos or 3D video content such as Viggle, PixVerse, Luma. This is also quite similar to the 2024 Report on Vietnam Digital Economy, by Google, Bain and Temasek, which clearly shows the increase in downloading AI applications related to image editing or video content creation in Vietnam.

The increased search trend also shows that Vietnamese people are more open to experimenting with new technology solutions and services. AI is playing a transformative role in the development of the Creative Economy, better supporting users in creative work.
Domestic tourism "reigns" in search trends for destinations
8 domestic tourist destinations appearing in the topic “Travel” show that users are increasingly interested in domestic tourism, reflecting the growth potential of Vietnam’s tourism industry.
Vietnamese people tend to search for information about places with unique natural landscapes, bringing peace and relaxation such as: Vinh Hy Bay, Hoi An Ancient Town, Con Son Community Tourism Village, Can Tho. For foreign destinations, “Malaysia Travel” and “Europe Travel” are two keywords that made it to this list, ranking in the top 1 and top 6, respectively.
In the entertainment sector, searches for “concerts” and international films increased sharply. “Anh trai say hi” and “Call Me by Fire” topped the list of most-watched music events in 2024.
