In many localities in Phu Tho, people have gradually become accustomed to making administrative transactions, receiving allowances or pensions through digital platforms.
Mr. Bui Van Truong in Nat Son commune said that he has been retired for more than 10 years. Previously, he had to travel about 5km to the center each month to receive his pension. However, recently, receiving pensions through his bank account has saved him significant time and travel effort.
Not only in the field of social security payments, many administrative procedures are also being carried out online, helping people reduce travel pressure.
Ms. Quach Thuy Anh in Luong Son commune just gave birth to her second child. If previously, relatives had to go directly to the commune headquarters to get a birth certificate, now she can declare it right at home through online public services.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Ngoc - Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee - said that in the past time, departments, branches and People's Committees of communes and wards have made efforts to reform administrative procedures, improve the quality of public services, and serve people and businesses better.
Despite achieving many positive results, Phu Tho provincial leaders believe that the implementation of digital transformation still has certain limitations.
Data published on the National Public Service Portal, the province currently achieves 93.81/100 points, ranking 23/34 provinces and cities. This result has not achieved the goal of improving ranking, not commensurate with the development potential as well as the province's attention and direction in the past time.
To promote deeper digital transformation, provincial leaders have set out many specific targets related to the VNeID application and cashless payments.
In which, the province requires the integration of electronic health records into the VNeID application to reach at least 50% of the permanent population before June 30, 2026. The Department of Health is assigned to preside over and coordinate with the Provincial Social Insurance and related units to implement it.
Departments, branches, Commune People's Committees, wards, and universities and colleges in the area are required to strengthen propaganda, guidance, and inspection of implementation progress.
In addition, the province also promotes non-cash payments. According to the plan, the rate of monthly non-cash pension payments must reach at least 98% before June 30, 2026. For people with meritorious services to the revolution and social protection beneficiaries, the target is at least 70%.
To support people in accessing digital technology, credit institutions are requested to arrange staff to each residential area to support opening bank accounts, and at the same time study exemption and reduction of service fees for policy beneficiaries and vulnerable people.
Phu Tho Provincial Youth Union is assigned to promote the role of union members and youth, especially forces with information technology expertise, to support people to integrate documents on VNeID, and improve the efficiency of digital transformation.
