OpenAI adds year-end summary feature to ChatGPT

QUANG MINH |

OpenAI has just added a year-end summary feature to ChatGPT, allowing users to review a panoramic view of how they use ChatGPT in 2025.

This summary has many similarities to the familiar lookup features of Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and many other digital services.

Accordingly, ChatGPT provides each user with an overview of the topics discussed along with notable statistics such as the busiest chat date, total number of conversations, number of messages sent, and many other metrics.

ChatGPT users can view their summary by entering the command Show me my year with ChatGPT on the application or web version. This feature is currently available to Free, Pro, and Plus users, with ChatGPT's chat history and memory turned on.

The list of countries that currently support the feature includes the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

The year-end summary feature not only has the meaning of " look back on the journey" but also shows how OpenAI is trying to personalize the user experience, turning ChatGPT from a simple Q&A tool into a digital companion.

By reflecting usage habits, needs and interactive styles, the 2025 review also suggests how users can exploit ChatGPT more effectively in 2026, while affirming the trend of AI platforms increasingly focusing on personal experience and long-term engagement.
