On the afternoon of April 3, according to information from the Radio Frequency Center Region V (Radio Frequency Department, Ministry of Science and Technology), based on data analysis from the iSpectra frequency monitoring system, the Center coordinated with the Department of Science and Technology of Hung Yen province and local authorities to inspect and handle noise sources in the area.
On March 30 and April 2, 2026, functional forces discovered and handled 3 mobile Repeater signal boosters operating illegally, causing harmful interference to many mobile information base stations in Hung Yen.
Through actual inspection, these devices were all arbitrarily purchased and installed by households to increase mobile signals in the house. Notably, all devices were ordered by individuals through e-commerce platforms.
The above-mentioned signal boosters were not licensed, did not meet technical standards and emitted incorrectly. The use of the equipment has reduced the quality of telecommunications services, caused missed calls, reduced data access speed and directly affected the operation of many base stations in the area.

Radio Frequency Center Region V has made a record of administrative violation and issued a decision to sanction related individuals. At the same time, illegal signal boosters have been forced to be dismantled and destroyed according to the provisions of law.
Functional agencies recommend that people not arbitrarily buy, install and use mobile signal boosters without a license, in order to avoid affecting the information network and violating current regulations.
