IoT (Internet of Things) is a system of sensor devices capable of collecting data from the real environment such as traffic, temperature, humidity, light, movement, location, pressure, security and order..., then transmitting data via the Internet to serve analysis, monitoring and remote control.
On April 21, Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 180/KH-UBND on implementing the Quang Ninh Provincial Data Strategy for 2026.
The plan aims to concretize Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation, along with resolutions and decisions of the Government and provinces.
Accordingly, in 2026, Quang Ninh will focus on promoting digitization, standardization, cleaning and synchronous organization of data to 13 national databases and specialized databases according to the Government's roadmap.
The data created and standardized must ensure the principle of "correct, sufficient, clean, living, unified, shared", complying with the National Data Architecture Framework, the National Data Management Framework and related technical standards.
The province identifies data as a tool to directly support the direction and administration, serving the operation of the Intelligent Operation Center (IOC), smart reporting, towards converting management methods from manual to management based on digital data and real-time data.
The province will complete technical infrastructure to serve connection, integrate real-time data from the IoT system, cameras, specialized sensors into the IOC, ensuring the ability to expand and integrate inter-sectorally.
Quang Ninh also organizes the installation and unified connection of sensor systems, striving to reach at least 3,000 IoT devices by the end of the fourth quarter of 2026 in key cities, ensuring secure and stable data transmission, ready to share and integrate the system.
The Provincial People's Committee requests departments, branches, and localities to implement the plan according to the "6 clear" principle: clear people, clear tasks, clear time, clear results, clear responsibilities, clear authority.
