New leak reveals larger screen on iPhone 20th anniversary edition

New leaked information shows that Apple is testing larger screens for the 20th anniversary iPhone line.

According to new leaked sources, Apple is currently testing two new screen panels for the 20th anniversary iPhone line expected to be launched in 2027.

In which, one panel is about 6.4 inches in size and is likely to be equipped on the iPhone 20 Pro model. The other panel is about 7 inches in size, said to be for the iPhone 20 Pro Max version.

Sources said that the screen size of the entire iPhone 20th anniversary line will be increased compared to the current generation, while the frame ratio will remain unchanged.

In addition, Apple is said to be developing a completely new design with curved screens on all four edges, creating an almost bezel-less display effect.

This information also coincides with previous reports that Apple wanted to bring edge-to-edge screens combined with curved glass on all four sides to maximize display area.

If the information is accurate, the 6.4-inch screen on the iPhone 20 Pro will be slightly larger than the 6.3-inch screen on the current iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro expected to be launched this year.

This will be the first time Apple has increased the screen size of the Pro line since the iPhone 16 Pro generation in 2024, when the company raised the screen from 6.1 to 6.3 inches on the Pro version and from 6.7 to 6.9 inches on the Pro Max version.

Previously, some sources also reported that Apple had accelerated the development of two iPhone versions to celebrate its 20th anniversary with two different screen sizes.

In addition to the new design and larger screen, the 20th anniversary iPhone line is rumored to have many notable upgrades such as Face ID hidden under the screen, image sensors developed by Apple itself, and force-sensitive buttons.

Although Apple has not confirmed any information, successive leaks show that the company is preparing a generation of iPhones with many major changes to mark the 20-year milestone since the first iPhone was launched.
