Google Health on iPhone now synchronizes data with Apple Health

The latest update of the Google Health app on iPhone has added the ability to sync data to Apple Health.

Google Health (formerly the Fitbit application) is used to collect data from wearable devices such as Fitbit and Pixel Watch. After updating, users can transfer data such as steps, distance traveled, heart rate, sleep, vitality index, exercises and many other information to Apple Health.

To activate the feature, users just need to update the application to a new version, go to Connections > Apps and services, then add Apple Health. According to feedback from some users on Reddit, there are still some data that are not supported for synchronization, such as the RHV.

Previously, Apple Health could synchronize data to Google Health. With this update, Google officially completes the two-way synchronization between the two platforms.

This is also a change that many Fitbit users expect, because before that Fitbit devices did not support direct synchronization with Apple Health. To transfer data, users must use third-party applications or unofficial solutions.

In addition to the ability to sync with Apple Health, version 5.05 of Google Health also adds Smart Health Links, allowing users to share medical records with doctors or relatives more conveniently. The application is currently released for free on the App Store.
