After much speculation, the new update says Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 at the Unpacked event on July 9, and start selling in August. Notably, this could also be the first time the company has announced a tri-fold smartphone, a device that is highly anticipated to be called the Galaxy G Fold.
However, despite being introduced at the same event, leaked sources say the Galaxy G Fold may not be officially launched until October. This scenario is quite similar to the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge, which was "teased" in January but it was not until May that it was fully released.
In addition to the foldable smartphone series, Samsung is also expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch 8 and reveal Project Moohan - an Android-powered reality show (XR) device, expected to launch at the same time in October.
With the announcement of a series of devices at the upcoming Unpacked event, Samsung continues to affirm its leading position in the race for mobile technology innovation.
The tri-fold phone model, if the Galaxy G Fold is the one, promises to open a new era for smartphone design, while competing directly with competitors who are launching similar folding devices.
