In the performance program on New Year's Eve recently, robots from leading manufacturers in the industry such as Noetix Robotics, Unitree Robotics, MagicLab and Galbot performed on stage.
Human-shaped robots dancing on New Year's Eve have taken center stage in the spring gala program organized by China Media Group - the official television event with the highest viewership in China. Robots perform martial arts movements, somersaults, spins and jump synchronously with artists on stage without encountering incidents.
Data from JD. com shows that in just two hours after the program aired, robot searches on this platform skyrocketed 300%, the number of customer support requests increased by 460% and the number of orders increased by 150%. New robot orders come from more than 100 cities nationwide, spanning both large urban areas and smaller towns.
This event marks the latest milestone in the story of China's humanoid robot industry. According to GGII, the number of humanoid robots shipped domestically reached 18,000 units in 2025, an increase of nearly 650% compared to 2024. By 2026, this number is expected to increase to 62,500 units.
One of the most outstanding performances at the gala night came from MagicLab, with the participation of two robots MagicBot Gen1 and MagicBot Z1. These machines are not limited to entertainment. They also show practical applications in the food service industry. A MagicBot Gen1 robot takes on the role of "bread cooker", while MagicBot Z1 plays the role of "food delivery staff".
Meanwhile, Galbot's robots impressed viewers with their accuracy. These robots, equipped with large-sized "AstraBrain" artificial intelligence, have shown ingenuity in tasks such as sorting and folding clothes.
Founded in 2023, Galbot raised 300 million USD in December 2025, raising the company's value to 3 billion USD. This company is currently penetrating into the fields of commercial, industrial and medical applications.
Noetix Robotics also attracted attention with its human-shaped robot product line. The company has collaborated with famous actress Cai Ming on stage. This is also the first time a human-shaped robot has appeared in a language-based program.
The robot's biological facial features, controlled by a compact engine system, allow extremely realistic facial movements, including eye and mouth gestures. The company plans to mass-produce these biological robots with the starting price of the Bumi robot being 9,988 yuan (more than 1,400 USD).
Meanwhile, Unitree Robotics showed its superior ability with the G1 robot in the "Martial BOT" program. This robot performed martial arts moves and demonstrated advanced abilities such as avoiding obstacles and performing beautiful somersaults.
This is the third time Unitree has appeared on the Gala stage. With the number of humanoid robots shipped exceeding 5,500 units by the end of 2025, the company's annual revenue has exceeded 1 billion yuan, and profits have been continuous for 5 consecutive years.
