The rapid development of IoT devices has led to a multitude of security risks. According to a report by cloud security company Zscaler ThreatLabz in 2023, with the increasing adoption of IoT (Internet of Things) and stable personal connected devices, IoT malware attacks have increased by over 400% annually.
According to market research firm Statista, the world is expected to have 20.1 billion IoT devices by 2025, with a global market size of $30.9 billion, with the Asia-Pacific market experiencing significant growth.
However, this reality presents both challenges and opportunities for pioneering units in IoT security, including Vietnamese startup VinCSS. By introducing solutions using the FDO (FIDO Device Onboard) protocol developed by the FIDO Alliance, Vietnam's cybersecurity company has provided widely applied solutions worldwide for identity management and access, information technology security, or smart device security.
On August 8, VinCSS officially partnered with ASRock Industrial Computer, a world-leading company in IoT devices and industrial computers from Taiwan (China). As a result, the Vietnamese cybersecurity startup will develop FIDO Device Onboard (FDO) compliant IoT security solutions, addressing the pressing need for security in the context of the rapidly developing IoT.
The two parties will collaborate in research and analysis of the market situation, thereby developing advanced IoT security solutions to meet practical needs.
Mr. James Lee, Chairman of ASRock Industrial, stated that through the partnership, he hopes to create seamless and robust security solutions, enabling the safe and automatic deployment of IoT devices.
