
The seminar aims to affirm the role and position of the space technology industry as well as identify challenges and difficulties, propose solutions to promote important technology industries.
Speaking at the seminar, Journalist Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper said that in the 21st century, space technology is no longer a limited field in space exploration programs of a few countries.

Instead, this technology industry has become a strategic pillar of many modern economies, with practical applications in life such as weather forecasting, natural disaster prevention, telecommunications, smart agriculture, environmental monitoring, urban planning, logistics, as well as in the field of security and defense.
Emphasizing the role of space technology, Mr. Suong quoted the latest report from the Space Foundation, the global space economy in 2024 has reached nearly 613 billion USD and is forecast to surpass the 1,000 billion USD mark by 2030. This result shows impressive growth rate and great potential. And in Vietnam, although space technology is still in its early stages of development, we have made important steps.

We believe that, with the attention of the Party and the State, with the efforts of agencies, businesses and science and technology teams, Vietnam can completely gradually master space technology. Thereby, making practical contributions to the cause of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security and enhancing the country's position in the international arena," said journalist Phung Cong Suong.
At the seminar, experts discussed opportunities and challenges in developing space technology in Vietnam. At the same time, propose effective mechanisms and cooperation models. Thereby, contributing to promoting the formation of a national innovation ecosystem with strong participation of the space technology sector.
