On October 30, at the 20th session of the People's Council of Da Nang City, term X, 2021-2026, the People's Council delegates met to discuss the proposal of the People's Committee of Da Nang City on adjusting the pre-feasibility study report of the Software Park No. 2 project (phase 1).
According to the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the Software Park No. 2 project (phase 1) was started in 2020 to promote domestic and foreign investment attraction, especially in the city's information technology sector. Through Software Park No. 2, businesses will quickly access government policies, support and incubate new startups, promote, expand and develop the information technology market, etc.
Up to now, the project has invested in infrastructure and basic construction items of 3 blocks ICT, ICT1, ICT2, with a total capital of nearly 1,000 billion VND. And according to the report just approved by the People's Council of Da Nang City, the project will continue to add more than 414 billion VND to complete the synchronization at Software Park No. 2 Phase 1. The project of Software Park No. 2 (Phase 1) of Da Nang has been raised with a total investment of more than 1,400 billion VND.
Previously, on October 22, the Prime Minister also approved the expansion of Software Park No. 2 in Thuan Phuoc Ward (Hai Chau District). The project has an expanded area of 28,573 m2 of land and will operate according to the functions and tasks of the Concentrated Information Technology Park as stipulated in Decree No. 154 of the Government.
