Smart vacuum cleaner market explodes

NGUYỄN ĐĂNG |

In the second quarter of 2025, more than 6.17 million smart vacuum cleaners were shipped globally, up 20.5% over the same period last year.

This data was just announced by the International Data Corporation (IDC) on September 3. Claire Zhao, senior analyst at IDC China, analyzed the reasons for the market's growth: "Smart vacuum cleaner suppliers are increasingly prioritizing expanding the international market, especially focusing on developing and innovating high-end products.

In addition to smart vacuum cleaners, leading manufacturers are also expanding their product portfolio to include more traditional cleaning robot solutions and household appliances.

In terms of market share, Roborock leads with 21.8% when it ships 1.34 million smart vacuum cleaners in April to June 2025. Data from IDC shows that Roborock leads in the number of units shipped in some markets, including Northern Europe, Germany, South Korea and Turkey - where the company accounts for more than 50% of the market share. Currently, the company's products are present in more than 700 cities around the world.

Ecovacs ranked 2nd with 14.1% market share. The company shipped 869,925 units in the second quarter of 2025, marking an increase of 35.9% over the same period last year. The company continues to expand its global footprint through diverse product lines and focuses on high-end products.

In the next positions are Dreame (13.1% market share), Xiaomi (10.2%) and Narwal (8.5%). The remaining brands account for 32.3%

According to experts, smart vacuum cleaner manufacturers are focusing on expanding the market, especially in emerging markets. IDC predicts that the market's growth opportunities are still high, but competition will be fierce as more and more new companies participate.
