The audio equipment market in Vietnam promises to explode

NGUYỄN ĐĂNG |

With an annual growth rate of over 16.5%, the audio equipment market in Vietnam promises to have a strong acceleration in the coming time.

Recently, four international audio equipment brands including Fender audio, Tivoli, Linklike and Tribit have been launched in Vietnam.

Mr. Ho Hoang Nguyen Vu - Deputy General Director of Petrosetco, Director of PHTD emphasized that expanding the portfolio of consumer technology products to meet increasing demand is one of the major goals of the unit.

He said: Bringing these four loudspeaker brands to Vietnam demonstrates PHTD's commitment to bringing consumers high-quality audio products that suit modern lifestyle. We not only distribute equipment, but want to convey a life experience - where technology and emotions meet.

Among these, Fender is a global iconic name, built on nearly 8 decades of leading in the field of musical instruments. Fender's craft quintessence is now continued with the vibrant sound line - Fender Audio, a bold new chapter, where high-performance sound meets modern lifestyle.

Fender Audio and Tivoli will be in the high-end segment. Meanwhile, Linklike and Tribit aim for popular, dynamic user groups. With diverse design, many smart features and the ability to integrate interior design, these brands will create vibrant competition with other famous names already present in Vietnam such as DiGiCo, Adamson, Heath, JBL, Harman Pro, Shure, Sennheiser...

Sharing with Lao Dong, Ms. Do Nhu Quynh, a person who specializes in organizing events and large exhibitions on audio and visual equipment, said: The audio equipment market in Vietnam has hundreds of brands, including the most famous brands in the world, with full segments from super high-end to affordable.

In my opinion, the presence of some new brands will help consumers have more options, create more competition and development for the market".

Research from market research company 6W Research shows that the audio equipment market in Vietnam will grow double from 2025 to 2029. In particular, the growth rate in 2025 is expected to reach 14.71%, peaking at 16.5% in 2027 and remaining stable at 14.81% in 2029.

The smart speaker market in Vietnam alone has a market size of 40.4% in 2024 and is expected to reach 161.2% in 2033. The annual growth rate is 16.61% in the period from 2025 to 2033.

According to 6W Research, the audio equipment market in Vietnam is witnessing strong growth, driven by the increasing demand for immersive audio experiences in many different fields. From home entertainment systems to professional sound sets, consumers are increasingly investing in high-quality sound devices.

However, in addition to advantages, the audio equipment market will also face challenges, related to the popularity of integrated audio solutions in smartphones and smart devices. That forces manufacturers to have a strategy to distinguish and highlight the unique features as well as the outstanding quality of specialized audio equipment.

At the same time, companies participating in the market must also orient price competition and emphasize the experience value of high-end audio equipment to attract stylish consumers.
