According to a video report by The Elec, Samsung is about to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 as scheduled.
The third device in the lineup is the Galaxy Z Flip FE, a lower-cost clamshell foldable phone that was previously rumored.
Finally, the centerpiece of the lineup is Samsung’s first triple-folding device, which will reportedly feature a larger display than the Galaxy Z Fold 7, measuring between 9.9 and 10 inches when fully unfolded, dwarfing the 7.6-inch display on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The device is expected to launch in Q3 2025, around the same time as Samsung’s other foldable devices.
Samsung plans to produce around 200,000 units a year, suggesting it does not expect huge sales for the product.
Rumors of a Samsung triple-folding device have been swirling for years, but Huawei was quicker to the chase when it launched the Mate XT last year.
Samsung's plan to launch four foldable devices by 2025 is not only to diversify its products but also to affirm its efforts to innovate technology to maintain its leading position.
From the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 models, to the affordable Flip FE series and its first tri-fold phone, Samsung is targeting every customer segment, from the mainstream to the premium.
This can be considered a strategic move in the context of a slowing market, while also strengthening users' confidence in the company's creativity.
