Seamless integration, no need to leave the X application
Social networking platform X has just introduced a new feature, allowing users to turn any photo in the data source into a short video in just a few seconds, thanks to Grok AI technology.
The feature is now available on iOS and will soon be available on Android, Elon Musk confirmed.
The special thing about this tool is that users can create videos without having to exit the X app. The feature works through Grok Image, which is currently available globally for free for a limited time.
This is a move that shows X's efforts to simplify the AI content creation process and integrate seamlessly into the platform.
How to use
Users just need to update X to the latest version, tap and hold an image in the data source, select Create video with Grok. The image will be sent directly to the Grok app, where AI processes and creates videos in about 17 seconds.
After completion, users can combine the video with one of the four available audio versions, then share it immediately. This integration removes the manual photo download step to Grok, making the process more underground and fast.
Required conditions for experience
To use it, users must install the Grok application and log in with a valid account. iOS users can try it now, while Android will have to wait a little longer. Musk said the Android version will be launched soon.
Updating the application via the App Store or Google Play will ensure early access to new features.
This update follows a series of recent changes to Grok, including the launch of Automation and Expert mode in Grok 4, improved PDF processing, and the ability to create 6-second videos from text or images on Android. Musk also revealed that Grok 5 is expected to be released later this year.
With the new feature, the rollable experience on X promises to become more lively and creative, while strengthening Musk's AI ambitions.
