The event was attended by representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Blockchain Association (HBA), the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center, the Organizing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Technology Day Conviction, and a series of experts, scientists, and businesses operating in the field of Blockchain (blockchain technology).
In recent years, Vietnam has been actively promoting digital transformation and digital economy development through many important guidelines and policies.
Along with the development of the digital economy, digital assets are increasingly becoming an important component of the global economy, including assets formed from Blockchain technology as well as intellectual property assets, digital content and creative data.
According to a report by TRM Labs, in 2025, attacks and vulnerability exploits in the digital asset sector caused damage of about 2.87 billion USD, an increase of nearly 30% compared to the level of 2.2 billion USD in 2024, showing that security risks in the blockchain ecosystem continue to increase.
In addition, the issue of copyright infringement and digital property infringement is also posing many challenges to the creative economy. In 2024 alone, VCPMC - Vietnam Center for Protection of Music Copyright recorded 79 lawsuits against music copyright infringement and hundreds of violating online links.
Lawyer Vo Trung Tin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Copyright and Digital Asset Technology (CTDA) provided in-depth analysis of large-scale copyright infringement systems in the fields of film (Rophim system) and sports (Xoilac).
For example, on the Rophim system, according to Mr. Vo Trung Tin's analysis, from August 6 to 2025 alone, the total access volume of the Rophim system reached over 103 million, more than 18,000 were illegally exploited, causing great damage to copyright owners.

According to Mr. Vo Trung Tin, Rophim has seriously violated copyright and regulations with acts such as: Broadcasting blockbuster movies at the same time as release on paid platforms; illegal live streaming; broadcasting banned movies and quickly broadcasting theatrical movies...
In that context, the Institute of Copyright and Digital Asset Technology was established to promote research and technology application activities in copyright protection, digital asset management and enhanced safety in the digital environment, contributing to building a transparent and sustainable digital asset ecosystem in Vietnam.
At the event, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony also took place between CTDA, HBA and MEXC Ventures to promote research activities, technology application and digital asset ecosystem development in Vietnam. Through this cooperation, the parties will coordinate to implement research, training and experience sharing programs in the field of digital assets.
The explosion of digital assets is posing an urgent problem for valuation, management, protection and respect for the law. This is also the reason why the Institute of Copyright and Digital Asset Technology was established. CTDA was established with the core goal of scientific research and technology development.
The Institute focuses on key activities such as consulting, technology dissemination, event organization, and seminars to improve professional capacity for the community," said Mr. Nguyen Manh Quy, Director of the Institute of Copyright and Digital Assets Technology.
