On the afternoon of December 18, at the Presidential Palace, the Office of the President held a conference to summarize the work in 2025 and deploy tasks for 2026.
Speaking at the conference, Politburo member and President Luong Cuong assessed that in the past year, the Office of the President had made many efforts to overcome difficulties, coordinated with relevant agencies in handling a large amount of regular and ad hoc work, serving the President and Vice President to successfully complete assigned tasks.
Emphasizing that entering 2026 requires increasingly high and more comprehensive requirements, in the context of increased workload and wide scope of field, the President suggested that according to functions, duties, and tasks, leaders, cadres, civil servants, and workers of the Office of the President need to grasp the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, especially the contents directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the President and Vice President.
Strengthen and strengthen the relationship between the Office of the President and central departments, ministries, branches, localities and directly the General Secretary's Office, the Central Party Office, the National Assembly Office, the Government Office, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Justice, the Court, the Procuracy, etc., which are directly related agencies in coordinating the implementation of tasks.
The Office of the President needs to continue to focus on improving the quality of research, strategic consultation; general consultation and in each field such as justice, defense, security, foreign affairs, reception work, and logistics services.

The President noted that the Office of the President should continue to strongly innovate working methods, strengthen discipline and administrative discipline; promote the application of information technology, digital transformation; perfect internal processes in the direction of clear people, clear responsibilities, clear progress, and improve coordination efficiency. At the same time, focus on building a team of cadres with political qualities, ethics, and high professional qualifications; increase training and foster skills in consulting, synthesizing documents, researching policies and State diplomacy.
The President also suggested that the Office continue to focus on building a strong Party Committee and operating truly effectively and efficiently; at the same time, continue to pay better attention to the material and spiritual life and progress of civil servants and workers.
On this occasion, President Luong Cuong awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to the Office of the President for outstanding achievements in implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently".
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to Mr. Nguyen Viet Duc - Director of the Department of Law for his outstanding achievements in amnesty work in 2025, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
